I read a great article last week about how a business owner, his company about to go bust, was able to completely turn around its fortunes. He did it by adding one thing to his website – a blog. Now, the business (pool installation) is thriving and he’s teaching others in the industry how to market their businesses too.
The blog was used to answer the questions that customers would ask him about his service. He also researched what phrases relating to his business were being typed into Google, and used them as the basis for more articles.
This worked well for a number of reasons. The articles, keyword based and with low competition, started showing up prominently in the search results. This meant lots more traffic to the website as people saw and clicked on the links to find answers to their questions. Once at the site, the owner’s knowledge about his business generated confidence in the would-be clients.
Now, the website is full of informative articles, and the company has branched out into other forms of online marketing – videos on YouTube, a downloadable guide, newsletters and more. It’s a great example of using internet marketing to benefit your business – which of them could you use? See the site here: River Pools & Spa
